
Calamares a la Andaluza
Andalusian-style fried squid is a delicious tapa popular throughout Spain. Here’s an easy way to make it at home. Especially tasty served with aioli.

Ingredients:
- 1 kg squid rings
- 120 g flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 3 teaspoons salt
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 lemon
Method:
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, paprika, and salt. Toss the squid rings in the mixture and shake off the excess.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the squid in batches, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp, about 2–3 minutes per batch.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Cut the lemon into wedges and serve the fried squid hot with the lemon on the side.
