
Croquetas de Jamón
Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Even better with a cold beer or a glass of wine.

Ingredients:
For the croquettes:
- 250 g diced ham
- 500 ml whole milk
- 50 g flour
- Nutmeg
- Black pepper
- 1 onion
- Dash of sunflower oil
For breading:
- 3 eggs
- Breadcrumbs
- Flour
Preparation:
- Peel and finely chop the onion.
- Beat the eggs and place in a bowl.
- Prepare separate bowls with flour and breadcrumbs.
Method:
- Heat a dash of sunflower oil in a pan and sauté the onion until it begins to colour.
- Add the flour and cook while stirring for 4 minutes.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until a smooth mixture forms.
- Add the diced ham and season with nutmeg and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a dish and chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
- Once firm, shape the croquettes using spoons or your hands.
- Coat first in flour, then in egg, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Let the croquettes chill for 30 more minutes before frying.
- Deep fry in a fryer or pan with hot oil at 180°C until golden brown.
