Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry sauce is a must-have with a classic Christmas meal. This simple version with orange is fresh, festive, and quick to prepare.

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

  • 340 grams cranberries
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 400 ml orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest

Preparation

  • Wash the cranberries if necessary.
  • Zest an orange until you have 1 tablespoon.
  • Make sure all ingredients are ready and measured.

Instructions

  1. Put the cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice and orange zest in a pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce the heat once boiling, and let it simmer for 10 to 12 minutes until the cranberries burst open.
  3. Stir well so all the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens.
  4. Let the sauce cool completely. Cover once cooled.
  5. Serve at room temperature.
