Strawberry Sauce

Strawberries are delicious, but sometimes you just have too many. A great solution is to make a tasty strawberry sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams strawberries
  • 70 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method:

  1. Clean the strawberries, remove the stems and cut them in half.
  2. Place the strawberries in a saucepan with the sugar and lemon juice, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once it starts bubbling, reduce the heat to low. Let the strawberries soften gently for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. The sauce will be thick with chunky pieces of strawberry. You can use it like this, or blend it smooth or strain it through a sieve.
