
Cebolada
This quick yet flavourful onion sauce is perfect with a thin slice of meat straight off the barbecue.
Preparation: 5 min
Total time: 20 min
Ingredients:
- 4 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 70 grams of tomato purée
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of allspice
- 50 ml of water
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Finely chop the onions and garlic. Heat the olive oil in a pan and gently fry the onions and garlic until they start to colour.
- Add the tomato purée and cook for another 2 minutes. Then add the remaining spices and the water.
- Stir everything together well and let it simmer gently for another 5 minutes.
