
Dutch Shrimp Cocktail with Apple
How simple can a dish be? The quality ingredients in this recipe make it simply work. Shrimps, apple, dill, and celery brought together with cream and a splash of cognac.

Ingredients:
- 200 g Dutch shrimps
- 1 apple
- Half a lemon
- 1 stick of celery
- A splash of cognac
- Salt and pepper
Method:
- Peel a strip of lemon zest and slice it into thin strips. These will be used for garnish.
- Peel and core the apple, then dice it finely. Place the apple in a bowl and squeeze the juice of the half lemon over it.
- Peel the celery and slice it very finely into half-moons.
- Add everything to the bowl, pour in a splash of cognac and season with salt and pepper. Make sure to taste it!
- Prepare a few nice glasses and spoon in the salad. Garnish with the lemon zest and, if desired, some celery leaves.
