Yoghurt dill dressing

Yoghurt dill dressing is a fresh, light dressing made with full-fat yoghurt, lemon and fresh dill. A small amount of garlic powder and cumin gives the dressing a gentle spiciness without overpowering the fresh flavour. This dressing goes well with cucumber, grilled fish, potato salad, green salads and grilled vegetables.

Serves: approx. 120 ml dressing
Preparation: 5 minutes

Method

  1. Mix the yoghurt
Put the yoghurt in a bowl and mix with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and the finely chopped dill.
  2. Add the spices
Add the garlic powder, ground cumin and a pinch of sugar. Mix well.
  3. Season to taste
Season the dressing to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Add a few more drops of lemon juice if the dressing could be fresher.
  4. Serve
Serve immediately or leave the dressing briefly in the fridge so the flavours can infuse. Finish with a small pinch of smoked paprika, if desired.

Tip
Preferably use full-fat yoghurt for a creamy dressing. For a thicker sauce, you can use Greek yoghurt. Then add a small splash of water or a little extra lemon juice if necessary to make the sauce thinner.
