Kalkoenfilet in Citroen-dille marinade

Turkey Fillet in Lemon-Dill Marinade

This turkey fillet is delightfully fresh and herby thanks to a Mediterranean marinade of lemon, garlic and fresh dill. Perfect for the barbecue on summer days, but also easy to prepare in a grill pan.

Serves: 4
Preparation: 15 minutes + marinating
Cooking time: 12 minutes
Total time: approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500 g turkey fillet
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • A few sprigs of fresh dill
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper

Preparation

  • Pick the dill leaves and chop finely.
  • Peel and finely chop the garlic.

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the lemon juice into a bowl and mix with olive oil, garlic, honey, dill, salt and pepper.
  2. If needed, cut the turkey into 2–3 equally thick slices.
  3. Place the turkey in a dish and pour over the marinade. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the fridge (preferably 2–3 hours).
  4. Remove the meat from the fridge 15 minutes before cooking.
  5. Preheat the barbecue to medium heat.
  6. Grill the turkey for 5–6 minutes on each side, depending on thickness. Turn only once for nice grill marks.
