Basmati rice

Basmati rice is a long-grain rice with a delicate aroma, slender grains and a light, fluffy texture. After cooking, the grains remain nicely separate, making this rice especially suitable for dishes where the rice should stay light and dry. Basmati rice is widely used in Indian, Pakistani, Persian and Middle Eastern cuisine.

Its gentle aroma and elegant texture make basmati rice ideal with curries, pilafs, spiced stews, tandoori dishes and rice dishes. It also works beautifully as simple boiled rice with a little butter, herbs or spices.
