Jasmine rice

Jasmine rice is a fragrant long-grain rice from Southeast Asia. The grains are slightly softer and stickier than basmati rice, while still remaining light and elegant. The rice has a subtle floral aroma, which makes it especially well suited to the flavours of Thai, Vietnamese and other Asian cuisines.

In the kitchen, jasmine rice is often served with curries, stir-fries, grilled chicken, fish, vegetables and spicy sauces. Thanks to its soft texture, it absorbs flavours well without becoming heavy.
