Use and care

Follow Koock’s seasoning instructions before first use. During seasoning, heated oil forms a protective layer on the cooking surface that helps prevent sticking and rust.

After cooking, let the pan cool slightly, clean it with warm water and a washing-up brush, and dry it thoroughly straight away. Then rub the surface with a very thin layer of oil. Do not put the pan in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water. Prolonged simmering with large amounts of tomato, wine or vinegar can damage the seasoning.

For smaller portions and side dishes

Cast iron retains heat for a long time. Allow the pan to heat up gradually and adjust the heat as you cook. With enough oil or butter and some space between the ingredients, you can achieve beautiful browning on meat, potatoes and vegetables.

The pan is suitable for induction, gas, electric and ceramic hobs, as well as the oven and barbecue. You can start cooking a dish on the hob and finish it in the oven. The handle and helper handle get hot: use oven gloves when moving the pan.
